Short breaks

Short Break activity clubs and friendship groups are funded by Wirral council. The groups are for children and young people aged 8-18.

Thursday IT Games Club

For children with autism and social communication difficulties who would benefit from an IT/Games console-based environment, utilising Wii, Wii-U, Nintendo Switch, X-Box and iPad’s, to work and play independently as well as part of a group.

The sessions are supported by autism-specific trained staff and attendee’s are encouraged to interact with staff and each other.

Time:

5:15-7:00pm (Session 1: 8-12 year olds)

7:15-9:00pm (Session 2: 12-18 year olds)

Cost: 

£3 per child per session

Teenager Friendship Group

Aimed for young people with autism spectrum condition or social communication difficulties. The sessions are aimed at supporting young people in small groups to develop their independence, confidence and friendships.

There are regular meet up sessions mostly held on Fridays.

Friday’s 5:30-7:30pm

Saturday Activity Club

For children and young people who would benefit from a games based environment to play together and meet new friends. The session includes board games, IT games and other games that encourage social interaction. The session provides an opportunity for children and young people to be together and meet new friends.

The sessions are supported by autism-specific trained staff and attendee’s are encouraged to interact with staff and each other.
